Magnificant Number 8

My favorite footballer of all time is inked on my arm: Steven Gerrard. He burst onto the scene at Liverpool with an energy and talent that set an example for all. 

I've lost count of the times he inspired me, and I’ve done my best to introduce him to the boys on their own football journeys. From the unforgettable Champions League final in Istanbul in 2005, to the FA Cup showdown against West Ham at Wembley, where he scored that stunning equalizer in the 96th minute, to England’s memorable 5-1 victory over Germany, the list of extraordinary feats he achieved on the field is as long and varied as any I’ve witnessed.
